The Real SF Route
The tour meets at the California Cable Car turn-around, 1 block from the Ferry Bldg, where California St. meets Market St.
We ride the cable car through the urban canyons of the Financial District. You'll experience the hustle and bustle of the real Chinatown as we make our way to the tranquil terraces of Russian Hill. We continue through the heart of North Beach as we hike to the only accessible Diego Rivera Mural in the city, along with spectacular rooftop views. You'll see first hand the process of chocolate making at Ghiradelli Square before trekking through Aquatic Park to Fort Mason. There we take in the history and scope of the Marina District and Pacific Heights, while enjoying breathtaking views of Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts. We then head south to the Ultra Hip and stylish Hayes Valley, where we take a well deserved lunch break. Finally we explore the history, culture and art of the Mission District before heading back to where we started, at the foot of
Market St.
